“come into the world” の使い方—この世界へようこそ

初めての記事は、誕生に相応しい言葉を紹介していきたいと思います。

英語の come into the world は直訳すると「世界へ入ってくる」。

実際の意味は「（人・生き物が）生まれる」「（作品・製品などが）世に出る」です。

語感は祝祭的で、詩的。出産報告、スピーチ、カードやSNSの告知で“おめでたい”空気をふんわりまとわせたい時にぴったりの表現です。

基本の型とニュアンス

主語は誕生するもの（赤ちゃん・子猫・新作など）。
A baby girl came into the world this morning.
「今朝、女の赤ちゃんがこの世に生まれました。」
be born との違い
be born は事実を淡々と述べる中立語。「誕生の瞬間」を温かく描きたいなら come into the world。ニュース性を出したいときは現在完了で has come into the world を使うと“今しがた”感が出ます。
例：A healthy baby boy has just come into the world.
「元気な男の子がたった今この世界に誕生しました。」

受動態（助産や医療チームに焦点）
She was brought into the world by a skilled midwife.
「熟練の助産師の手でこの世に迎えられました。」
※ bring … into the world は「…をこの世に連れてくる（産む／取り上げる）」。
比喩的用法（作品・製品・アイデア）
Her debut novel came into the world last spring.
「彼女のデビュー小説が昨春、世に出ました。」
A bold new camera has come into the world.
「革新的な新型カメラがこの世に生まれました。」

前置詞は必ず into。come to the world は誤り。
時制で温度を調整：
過去形 came＝出来事の報告。現在完了 has come＝“いま起きた”祝報。
文脈を華やかにする副詞句：
to everyone’s delight（皆の喜びのうちに）、amid happy tears（嬉し涙に包まれて）などを添えると祝宴感UP。

Welcome to the world, Mio! Our little star came into the world at 3:12 a.m., weighing 3.2 kg.

be born（中立）：She was born on Sept 3.
see the light of day（「日の目を見る」やや比喩的）：The project finally saw the light of day.
come into being（成立・発生：学術/歴史向き）：The constitution came into being in 1947.
